This blog is dedicated to teaching solar energy concepts to elementary students in 3rd grade. The blog contains a lesson plan for 5 days including hands-on activities for each day.
I would bring a 100 watt light bulb to use in the classroom. Students could place their themometer under the light and wait for the specified amount of time and then read the results. For the cooler temp activity, I would use a closet in my classroom to place the thermometers in.
Nice lesson plan. How would you modify your lesson plan if the weather did not coopoerate?
